2025 Registrations Open

We welcome back our returning players and new players to the Lions Community Hockey Club.  

Junior registrations are now open (there has been a 5% increase on junior fees in line with increases made by HockeyWA)

Note for Juniors
Please note all hockey clubs in WA are required by Hockey WA to provide finalised numbers in each age group by 10th March 2025 to enable us to nominate teams for the season.

Registrations

• Returning players are to click on 'Returning Member', and players who are new to our club are to click on 'New Member'.
• Select the appropriate Registration type from the dropdown box
• Click on the next step, complete the remaining details, and pay fees to complete the registration process

Fees
All our fees are listed under the Registration type.  Please note that transaction and administration fees will be charged at checkout which go directly to the registration platform and online payment providers (currently 2% + $1.60 per transaction). All payments must be via credit card.

Hockey Australia Levy is as follows:

Hookin2Hockey (Minkey) - $22.81 
Juniors - $56.81
Seniors - $68.79

When you register and pay to play with SLHC you are automatically covered in all your hockey activities by the Hockey Australia National Group Insurance Plan managed by JLT Sport and placed with underwriter Sportscover Australia.  We follow the no pay, no play rule.  

If you are unable to pay your fees upfront, please contact Liam via registrar@suburbanlions.org.au to make other arrangements (please note, that ALL fees must be paid in full before the commencement of training for the season).  Please read the fee policy.

If you are paying for your registration by EFT, please ensure you use our new bank details and email a copy of your payment to registrar@suburbanlions.org.au

Please note: It is an individual’s responsibility to assess whether the Club-purchased level of cover is adequate to meet personal needs. This is not a Hockey WA or Club responsibility.  Please report any potential claim to the Club Secretary.

Family discounts
SLHC will continue the 10% family discount for those families registering.  The discount code will be supplied after the first family member is registered. 

Although we are still working through some mechanics with our third-party provider, we have developed the following options to allow families to utilise their family discount:

1.    Please register your first family member and a unique discount code will be automatically emailed to you. 
2.   If you are unable to use the code, please email registrar@suburbanlions.org.au where the discount can be manually applied.

Note: Please remember to use your unique code at the time of registration as refunds will not be issued after the registration process.

KidSport vouchers 
Please contact registrar@sububanlions.org.au for the code to be used at registration.  For 2025, children can now access up to $500 per eligible player per financial year (1 July - 30 June). 

Who is eligible?
All WA children aged 5 – 18 with a valid Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card.  Parent information can be found HERE

Refund Policy
All requests for a refund of fees (full or pro-rata) shall be made in writing with valid supporting reasons for the request. The Committee shall consider all reasonable requests and allow or disallow these at their discretion.  An administrative fee of a minimum of $50 shall be deducted if a refund is approved.  Club Refund Policy can be found HERE
