Dear Suburban Lions Members,

The committee of the Suburban Lions Hockey Club Incorporated would like to invite all members to the Club’s 2024 Annual General Meeting, which will be held on Tuesday 26 November, commencing at 6:30pm, in the SLHC clubrooms at Highview Park (Tregonning), Verdun Street, Nedlands.

Business of the Annual General Meeting will be:

• Confirmation of minutes and matters arising from the last Annual General Meeting (emailed to members)
• President’s Report (including outcome of YMCC amalgamation negotiations)
• Vice President’s Reports
• Treasurer’s Report and Statement of Accounts for the financial year
• Election of Committee Members 

As per the Club’s constitution, all committee positions will be declared vacant at the annual General Meeting. A member who wishes to be considered for election to the committee at the annual General Meeting can nominate for election by sending written notice of the nomination to the Secretary (secretary@suburbanlions.org.au) at least 3 days before the annual General Meeting. The written notice must include a statement by another Ordinary Member in support of the nomination; and a declaration by the nominee that if elected to the Committee, he or she will, at all times, comply with section 42 of the Act. A suitable nomination form is attached below.

The chairperson of the meeting may also call for nominations from the Ordinary Members at the meeting.

This is your Club and with that you are responsible for electing the members who will run the Club next year.

• President
• Vice President Operations
• Vice President Women
• Vice President Men
• Vice President Juniors
• Vice President Veterans
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Ordinary Committee Members

We encourage all members to attend this year’s AGM to listen and have their say on important club issues. Members who are unable to attend the annual General Meeting, but who would like the opportunity to vote, may complete a proxy form which can be found on the SLHC website here. (Liam to attach)

Please note, there is also a special General Meeting being held at the same venue, on the same day, starting at 6pm. Notice of this meeting was sent to all members on 15 October.
