Welcome to the Suburban Lions Hockey Club Inc
The Suburban Lions Hockey Club fields teams for a wide range of ages from Minkey in school years 1-2, Cubs (Introduction to Hockey) in school years 3-4 through junior grades to ladies' & mens' elite, social and veteran competitions.
We provide an environment that allows players to pursue a career in hockey to their highest potential or to participate on a social basis in lower grades. Home games are played at Melvista Oval, Tregonning Field (in Highview Park) and Lemnos Field (Shenton Turf).

2014 Women's turf training
Training for all ladies who want to play on Turf is at 7.00pm Tuesday 4 March and at 8.30pm on Thursday 6 March.
We also have some intraclub scratch matches and selection trials planned for the weekends ahead. Selection Trials will begin on Sunday 9 March at 8.30am. All players who intend to play on Turf should attend on this date.
Trials and practice will continue on the mornings of 16 March, 23 March, 30 March. Bevan will send each player a note of when to attend on each of those dates.
2014 Junior Grading:
J5/6 grading to take place at Tregonning Fields, Verdun St, Nedlands
Regular J5/6 training commences for girls on Thursday 13th and for boys on Friday 14th March 4.45pm-6pm at Melvista Oval, Melvista Ave, Nedlands
J5/6 Grading Carnival to be held on Saturday 5 April at Yokine from approx. 8am -12noon. This is a compulsory Hockey WA event for all J5/6 teams in the metro area. Following the March gradings, teams will be announced and details of at least 2 team training sessions to be held either at Melvista or Tregonning prior to the Grading Carnival.
J7/8 Grading to take place at Shenton Turf, Stubbs Terrace, Shenton Park
Regular J7/8 training will commence on week of Tuesday 25 and Thursday 27 March
J9/10 Grading to take place at Shenton Turf
Regular J7/8 and J9/10 training will commence on week of Tuesday 25 and Thursday 27 March
